Video Uploads for Benefits Sites
Uploading videos to a MyBenefits.cc site is more challenging than it seems. Due to bandwidth limitations, large video files cannot be uploaded directly to the domain. Videos must “stream” in small chunks while the viewer watches to avoid overwhelming the system. Platforms like YouTube and Vimeo handle this by heavily compressing videos and streaming them efficiently.
How to Add a Video to a Benefits Site
If a client needs a video on their site, it must first be uploaded to a streaming platform such as Barinshark, Zoom, or Vimeo. Once uploaded, the video can then be linked or embedded into the site. The website team may be able to help if you are unable to upload or share the video link.
The Challenge of Getting the Video File
- Video files are typically large (50–250 MB) and too big to send via email.
- Sharing through Dropbox, Teams, or similar services is often the only option.
- Microsoft Teams Restrictions: Only the owner of a Teams video can download it. If you try to download a video shared by a broker, you will not be able to do so.
- This means the broker must download the file themselves and then share it with you. Since brokers are usually focused on sales rather than technical tasks, this process can be time-consuming and frustrating.
Best Practices

Bottom line: Do not commit to uploading a client’s video until you have consulted with the FoxyHelp Team.
